I've known of my calling to speak and to share my story for a long time, but I hated it. Thinking about it frustrated me. I wanted to do other things with my life. It didn't make sense to me. I didn't understand the importance of my story and didn't want to tell it. So, I started coming up with any reason for not being a motivational speaker.
I stopped answering emails and phone calls. I was running. I fought my calling for a long time, until one day, God opened my eyes to see that the times when I did speak were effective. I was doing something good. I was doing something that mattered.
My journey was never about me. It was about the Almighty's will for me. I was required to help people who had faced some of the same things I faced and overcame.
At first, it appeared senseless for me to believe that my book would make a difference when there were so many faith-based books on the market. But there is one thing I know about the Almighty; He works in mysterious ways. When He calls you as one of His servants and instructs you to do His will, disobedience is NOT an option.
"Rewriting My Story" is for people from all walks of life who are facing challenges and obstacles. I want my story to give you HOPE in the Almighty. With HOPE, you can rewrite your story and make a difference not only in your life but the lives of others.
