Product Description

by Ethan Darling (Author)

Has your Mom ever told you too much candy is not good for you? You'll laugh as Darron Awsome and his friends find out the hard way that sometimes candy can be downright evil too. Revenge of the Candy Nerds was written by ten year old Ethan Darling (as a school project) in the style of his favorite author R. L. Stines.

Author Biography

Ethan Darling is in the fifth grade and absolutely loves reading! He'll read just about anything he can get his hands on. So when his school allowed him to choose his own project it came as no surprise that he choose to "write a ten chapter book" and "build a structure to represent that book". Ethan's favorite genre is horror so he wrote Revenge of the Candy Nerds in the style of his all time favorite author, R. L. Stines. For the structure that he was required to make as a representation of the book, Ethan created the candy hand from the story and used it in the cover art. Through this project, Ethan learned several valuable lessons about writing, editing, typesetting, publishing and the copy writing process. The most valuable lesson of all though was three fold: first, that writing is hard work; second, time management - doing hard work a little at a time gets the job done and third, all that hard work is well worth the effort.
