A true life story of survival when 10 year old Regina and her family are taken by gunpoint from their home in Poland during WW II and sent to the labor camps of Siberia. It includes her father's struggle to keep his family together during times of desperation.

Author Biography

Cynthia grew up in Detroit, Michigan during WWII, her home a beehive of activity hosting service men on leave. As an adult she earned her ADN and worked as an Emergency Room Nurse across the United States. As a volunteer RN for the Red Cross she assisted during Katrina and local disasters; she also assisted in her local Free Clinic for the uninsured. Cynthia is married to Chester. They have five children and twelve grandchildren, she has managed to follow her passion to travel, see the world and now share stories of the people she has met, who have added to her life in so many ways. Cynthia is the author of "A Bite of Life" - a collection of short stories from her life and travels. You may contact her at gaudemaude@gmail.com
