Product Description

by Larry L. Little (Author)

The Susquehanna River is a unique environment, with many life lessons to be learned by simply observing its long, lazy flow from its source in New York to and including the Chesapeake Bay. All that is needed to learn those lessons is an open mind and an observing eye.

Growing up on the Western shores of the Susquehanna River, Larry Little felt drawn to it and the myriad life forms that it supports from an early age. Upon rising each morning, he would shortly be standing on the broad back porch overlooking the yard below, the maple trees, the river shore, and the broad, shallow river beyond.

Every day, when the weather would allow it, Little would be on, in, or under the river's water column observing life. Only with the passage of years did he come to realize how significant his time on and in the river had been in molding his character and understanding of life.

The author invites you now to come with him back to his youth and share his observations and life lessons learned as he reflects on his youth and time on the Susquehanna River.
