Author Biography
Bracken Thompson has a Masters in Applied Chemistry (MChem) and spent most of her working life as an analytical chemist working in the chemical industry. She began soap making as a hobby and this led to the creation of Brackencraft, the natural hand-made soap company, which is based in the Midlands, UK. Brackencraft manufactures natural, animal friendly soaps and cosmetics. Bracken has created hundreds of new products, many of which went on to be sold by Brackencraft, while other wonderful products were created simply for pleasure. This book contains recipes for many unique and novel products with instructions for making them. Bracken began writing professionally, freelance for two magazines in 2010, when she was asked at a Vegan Festival if she would like to write articles for craft and beauty magazines. This inspired her to begin writing this book. During this time she started to produce step-by-step instructions for making many products at home including many totally new products such as shower jelly made from Soap-nuts. Now these and many more creations are available as a collection of recipes. All the recipes Bracken has invented are free from animal products and based around vegan ideals.
