CHARLES C. SCHROEDER is vice-chancellor for student affairsand a member of the doctoral faculty in the Higher and AdultEducation Department at the University of Missouri, Columbia.
PHYLLIS MABLE is vice-president for student affairs atLongwood College. Since 1979, she has served as president of theCouncil for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education.
