Latisha Hayes, PhD, is a professor at the University of Virginia's School of Education and Human Development and director of the McGu ey Reading Center. A former reading specialist and special education teacher, she has extensive experience supporting students with reading disabilities. Dr. Hayes presents regularly at major conferences including the International Literacy Association and NCTE and is known for her expertise in bridging research and practice in early literacy.
