Product Description

by Linda Pedreira (Author), Laurie Rubin-Haber (Author)

Raising Ross is a deeply personal story of a family's journey with autism. Laurie Rubin-Haber chronicles the life of her oldest son Ross from his birth and diagnosis through his early adulthood. She tells how they learned to navigate through new terrain, and how they constantly fine-tuned their expectations in practical ways. Laurie shares her hard-won wisdom, while providing hope and encouragement to other special needs families. Above all, this book is about the deep-rooted love for Ross, an extraordinary boy who became an extraordinary young man.

Author Biography

Laurie Rubin-Haber worked as a manager of international sales in the publishing industry for almost 30 years. She has a B.A. in Economics from Brandeis University and an M.B.A. in Marketing from Fordham University. She retired from publishing to become a special needs advocate, an officer of the Center for Developmental Disabilities Family Association, and to pursue a labor of love: Raising Ross. Laurie lives in Great Neck, New York with her husband Donald and two sons, Ross and Adam.
