Author Biography
Dr. Marlies ter Borg is a Dutch philosopher and bridge builder, -without a religious, specific academic or institutional affiliation, -enabling her to compile this unique non-partial anthology of Bible and Qur'an texts. She found support from high level experts in the field from a variety of backgrounds (Jewish, Christian, Muslim and secular) ready to write comments, showing the various ways texts can be interpreted and experienced. The book has an international flavor, experts coming from Turkey, Egypt, Indonesia, Canada and USA, and from ter Borg's home country, Netherlands. in this book Marlies has accommodated earlier comments by producing a non-illustrated version of the book previously published with images from a wide variety of sources, e.g. the Khalili Family Trust, under the title SHARING MARY. Thus the reader make his own choice.
