Pray, Pray and Pray some more God loves it and the Devil hates it. God wants to be our friend and prayer is our way to communicate with Him. In Purpose in Prayer E. M. Bounds sheds light on the energy of prayer, the how and why we must be persistent in prayer, and the results that are possible due to our prayers. Purpose in Prayer shows the exciting ways that God will move on your behalf and explains how you can: Obtain all that God has for you, Know what to pray for, Receive miracles, Bring your loved ones to Christ, Turn your problems into victories, Develop a deeper relationship with God and more Edward McKendree Bounds was a clergyman of the Methodist Episcopal Church South and author of eleven books, nine of which focused on the subject of prayer. Bounds was a practicing lawyer at age nineteen and after three years, began preaching for the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. At the time of his pastorate in Brunswick, Missouri, war was declared. Bounds became a prisoner of war after refusing to take the oath of allegiance to the Federal Government. Upon release he served as chaplain of the Fifth Missouri regiment until the close of the war.
