This book will examine the role of a police officer as we enter this technological, politically correct age. I hope to provide you with some insight into the law enforcement profession based on my years of service as a sworn police officer. The book is designed to stand the test of time so as to hopefully be valuable to many generations of law enforcement officers yet to come. I am going to try and relate to you how police officers can individually be their best, how administrators can be their best, and how civilians can enhance their local law enforcement agency. There are many changes facing the police officer in the twenty-first century. Many of these changes are good and have made the job safer and increased the ability to solve crime. Some of these changes however are very detrimental to the profession. Hopefully, part of this book will point out these problem areas and provide viable solutions.
