Product Description

by Sarah J. Head (Author)

Playing with herbs is an easy to understand introduction to making herbal products for complete beginners using water, alcohol, vinegar, oil, honey and wine. As well as instructions on how to make your own herbal teas, tinctures, tonic wines, infused oils and vinegars, there are also recipes for syrups, cordials and elixirs so any herbal harvest can be preserved for later use. A glossary of terms and references to other books are included to further the reader's herbal education. Playing with herbs is the culmination of over twenty years' experience growing and processing a diversity of herbs in the UK. The aim of the book is to provide information to spur the reader's enthusiasm to try making their own herbal creations and develop confidence in their own abilities.
