Mrs. Malisha Deonta (Harris) Jones was born in High Point, North Carolina. She was raised in Rocky Mount, North Carolina where she attended Phillips school for her elementary and junior high school years. She later returned back to High Point, North Carolina. She graduated from High Point Central High School and further her education at Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) in 2000. Her place of employment after receiving her BSN was at Moses Cone Hospital as a novice clinical nurse on a neurology/cardiac inpatient unit. After long strenuous twelve hours shift, she decided to pursue a career in the United States Air Force, Nurse Corp (USAF, NC).
In April 2001, she was commissioned in the USAF, NC. With her first duty station at Lackland, Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas (stationed there from 2001 to 2003). Prior to going to her second duty station, she was deployment to Landstuhl, Germany for approximately four to six months. Her second duty station was Yokota, Air Base in Japan (from 2004 to 2006). Her third duty station was Lakenheath in the United Kingdom (UK) (from 2006 to 2008). During her time in the military, she continued her education by receiving her master's degree in business administration (MBA) online at the University of Phoenix in March 2008. In 2009, she published her first book called, "Lyrics/Poetry & Drama Inspired by the Holy Bible & Life's Experiences," by Malisha Deonta Harris. Her fourth duty station was in Anchorage, Alaska at JBER (from 2008 to 2012). Her fifth and last duty station was Minot, Air Force Base in North Dakota (from 2012 to 2015). She was medically retired out of the military in 2015. Currently, she is happily married to her husband Mr. James Anthony Jones and resides in Kernersville, North Carolina.
