Product Description

by M. D. Richard Moskowitz (Author)

A selection of pieces written over a 30-year period, including a memoir, excerpts from my two books, and published articles on midwifery, vaccination, homeopathic medicine, and the medical system in general.

Author Biography

Richard Moskowitz earned his B.A. from Harvard in 1959, Phi Beta Kappa, and his M.D. from New York University in 1963. After a graduate fellowship in Philosophy at the University of Colorado, and internship at St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver, he has been in private practice since 1967. In the 1970's he attended over 600 home births, as well as studying acupuncture with Sensei Masahilo Nakazono in Santa Fe, and classical homeopathy with Prof. George Vithoulkas in Greece, Dr. Rajan Sankaran and his school in India, and many other teachers. He has practiced homeopathic medicine more or less exclusively since 1974. Author of two books and numerous articles on midwifery, homeopathy, and the philosophy of medicine, Dr. Moskowitz has served as President of the National Center for Homeopathy and Secretary of the American Institute of Homeopathy (from 2007--present), and has taught and lectured widely. He lives and practices in the Boston area.
