Rev. Philip Quaque's success did not lie in the establishment of several schools or in a thriving Christian ministry. Neither was Quaque's life about glorious victories won nor boasting of remarkable achievements. Rather, Quaque's story was about fifty years of perseverance, laying the essential foundation for educational institutions in the country. Philip Quaque's impact must therefore be measured differently, by the successes of his students. They became local and national leaders who brought about social, political, and economic change in the country.
