Product Description

by Maurita Stueck (Author)

"Memoirs are writings for our children and our children's children." So writes Maurita Estes Stueck in the Prologue to Passages with only 10 stories first copied for her children on her 90th birthday in Estes Park, Colorado.

This is a collection of memoirs of a proud St. Louisan; a 1943 graduate of Washington University; a World War II bride; a mother of four; and, a lifelong community volunteer and activist. Girl Scouting was an important part of her life.

Years volunteering at the Missouri Botanical Garden helped fulfill her love of botany and sharing with others about the natural world.

Maurita was a world adventurer who had insight into what life was really like and most importantly, the subtle changes that lead to the roles in society that women now enjoy and to recognize changes in our country that have led to life today as we know it.

Memoirs are a gift to family but to others as well who were part of her life and those who are interested in how one woman can shape a life.
