This volume offers a collective study of the work of P. F. Strawson (1919-2006) and an exploration of its relevance for current philosophical debates. It is the first book since Strawson's death to cover the full range of his philosophy, with chapters by world-leading experts about his lasting contributions to the philosophy of language, metaphysics, epistemology, moral philosophy, and philosophical methodology. It aims to achieve a balance between exegesis of Strawson, critical engagement, and consideration of the reception and continuing value of his work. Sybren Heyndels is a postdoctoral researcher (Research Foundation Flanders) at KU Leuven. In 2018, he was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh. From 2020 until 2022, he spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher (Irish Research Council) at University College Dublin. He publishes on the history of twentieth century philosophy, philosophy of language, and moral philosophy. Audun Bengtson is an advisor at the Norwegian Defence University College, Oslo. He completed his PhD in philosophy at KU Leuven in 2020. In his PhD he developed a Wittgensteinian interpretation of Strawson's 'Freedom and Resentment'. He has published in Philosophical Investigations and Advances in Experimental Philosophy. He currently works on the ethics of human enhancements in the military. Benjamin De Mesel is Assistant Professor in RIPPLE (Research in Political Philosophy and Ethics Leuven), Institute of Philosophy, KU Leuven. He is the author of The Later Wittgenstein and Moral Philosophy (Springer, 2018) and co-editor, with Oskari Kuusela, of Ethics in the Wake of Wittgenstein (Routledge, 2019). He has published widely on Wittgenstein and moral philosophy, and on P. F. Strawson's views on freedom and moral responsibility. His work has appeared in Philosophers' Imprint, Philosophical Studies, Pacific Philosophical Quarterly, European Journal of Philosophy, British Journal for the History of Philosophy, Journal of Ethics and Social Philosophy, and The Journal of Ethics.
