This collection of poems is dedicated to all those who have been abused and exploited at the hands of others, and to those who love them and want to see them healed. There are many types of abuse, and exploitation. Some are abused and exploited as children and teens, and others are exploited as adults. Those who are abused and exploited as children often fall into patterns of linking up with other abusers in their adult lives. The unseen scars can be far more devastating than wounds we can see. The wounds of the heart are often the most difficult to heal, and may require "heart surgery". The Lord Jesus is the healer, and the wounds and scars of abuse, only He can truly heal. I pray that as you read these poems, they will touch your heart and give you hope. These poems were given to me as a part of my own healing journey, and it is my deepest desire that they would become a part of your own healing as well. Jesus Christ is the only one who will never leave you or forsake you. The book of Romans, chapter 8 says that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. As you read these poems, I pray you will come to a realization of the depth of His love. He loves you. He really, really does.
