Author Biography
Captain Gene Croom is a licensed charter captain with over 20 years of experience in the fishing industry. He became interesed in gold mining in the mid 1980's watching Gold Prospector's Association of America founder, George Massie, aka Buzzard on tv. Once he joined the GPAA he was hooked on gold mining. With a strong desire to one day have his own claim he considered all the options and decided buying a claim must be the only way to get his own claim. With a roller coaster economy affecting his business, Captain Gene was never able to purchase a claim. So, one day he decided to find an open claim on his own. After several years of searching, Captain Gene discovered a little known secret to finding gold claims and is now willing to help other people find their own gold claim. Today, Captain Gene owns several gold claims. His motto is that there are plenty of gold claims to go around, and no one need buy a claim unless an assay, or other factors makes them determined to do so.
