Product Description

by Thomas Francis Schindler (Author)

Personal autobiography of a father, husband, naval officer, and English teacher who rose out of difficult circumstances seemingly against the odds. His story will capture your heart and emotions as he tells it in his own words. Through hardship and blessing, through heartbreak and joy we follow the story of his life. The beauty of the story is not that it is extraordinary, but that it is the stuff of everyday, ordinary living. It is a personal and poignant account, told in a way that will draw you into his journey toward hope. Lucky? Not a chance

Author Biography

Tom Schindler currently lives in Wausau, WI across the street from West High School's athletic fields where he taught English for 27 years (primarily American Literature and Creative Writing). He retired in 1995. One might say he's an enthusiastic bicyclist. He started with several cross-state trips with his two sons and did a lot of miles as an amateur racer in his 40's. He has continued to maintain a goal of a thousand miles of biking for each year of his life. He will be 77 in July of 2016 and has already reached 77,000 miles. As husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather he can honestly say, "I have so much to be grateful for."
