While reading this book we suggest that you:
- Read slowly so your little one can understand the story.
- Read expressively, using different voices for different characters, and raising or lowering your voice as appropriate.
- Talk about the pictures. Point to the examples of manners and try to add your own.
- Ask open-ended questions: "What do you think will happen next?" This helps your child to think about the story and to ask questions.
- Use your little one's name as a character in the book.
- Encourage your child to point out all of the vibrant colors.
- Have fun Show your toddler that reading is enjoyable.
