Product Description

by Joan Klengler (Author)

It begins with a dream of a horse - the Gypsy Vanner - and a routine complaint call to a Gypsy encampment in The Meadows where Jessie and Bodie first encounter Alida Coine - a woman who has the gift of seeing the secret that Jessie and Bodie share. So begins a tale of love, deception and murder with deep roots in other kinds of secrets - family secrets - kept hidden by some, all of the signs ignored by those who see the hint of what lies beneath the surface. Deputy Jessie Red Cloud and her partner Bodie McDonald find themselves drawn into the mystery that has its beginnings in The Meadows and reaches its conclusion in a place called New Hope Landing.

Author Biography

New Hope Landing is the sixth volume in The Delta Mystery series. The series was inspired by the author's visits to The Sacramento River Delta, most especially the area around Locke and Walnut Grove. For Joan Klengler, there is no place more magical and mystical than a houseboat in the little known world of The Delta. She lives with her husband, 3 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats and 2 bunnies on a tiny horse property adjacent to Griffith Park and the Los Angeles River. Her dream continues to be a second home somewhere along the Sacramento River, Steamboat Slough or The Georgiana. She's not fussy.
