The first story starts with the funeral for our heroine, Janet, but you soon get to know her cousin, Aarar, as he looks for her killer. In the second story Millie establishes her band of helpful, Watchers, who use Remote Viewing to locate and offer aid to endangered travelers. Jay takes his family to Australia when the Unique Idendifier is identified in a group of Aboriginals. In Hive Mentality, Dave's new client is a Transmorphic, because he identifies as a female robot. Finally, in the last story, Liam and Arthur meet Jak for the first time. Lots of stuff happens, lots of new and imagined tech is introduced, but my message remains, that we should not simply accept all new technologies, but investigate them and choose what is best for us. Maybe this is what is missing from all the world ending, dystopian predictions, being aware, thoughtful, and considering the possibilities before making a choice, because, those possibilities, are amazing!
