This is a dietary supplement containing 1000 mg of CLA in each softgel. CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) is a type of omega-6 fatty acid derived from the safflower plant. Safflower oil is obtained by extracting the oil from safflower seeds using special methods. The active ingredient in safflower oil is conjugated linoleic acid.
CLA contains high amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats in the diet contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels.
