Seeing the Pueblans on the brink of cultural and religious annihilation, the natives rise up and for the one and only time in American history actually expel a European invading force, killing most Spaniards along the way in the inferno of the 2nd Pueblo Revolt. In Pueblo Traitor, Josephillo Naranjo turns against his family and native brethren. This mulatto aids the infamous Don Diego de Vargas to squash the 3rd pueblo revolt, forever cementing the White men and women a new home in the American Southwest.
