I don't know about you, but I grew up in the era "children must be seen and not heard," so when I was young, I was very afraid to speak up for myself, let alone advocate for anyone else.
I pray that each page of this book will SPARK conversations, and that those conversations will bridge the gaps and bring hope and healing.
I hear the voices of little girls playing in the park as they talk and laugh. May we really hear them, and may we remember to encourage them to speak up . . . for we are listening.
