Author Biography
Barbara Feltquate's third book, My Italian Heritage, is a natural extension of her passion for writing, storytelling, and unique childhood memories. Raised in an Italian Jewish household with lots of family interactions, traditions, tantalizing foods, and special holidays gave her a unique prospective with many reminiscences. Living in Boston with the famous Italian North End and kosher delicatessens, restaurants, and bakeries in nearby neighborhoods was an extension of her combined heritages. Barbara believes it is the responsibility of the family to share their childhood stories and lore with children. As with her first book, Kiddish Yiddish, My Italian Heritage will present the same opportunities for Italian families to relay their own special memories to children and grandchildren. In retirement, Barbara and her husband Harvey divide their time between Venice, Florida, and Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
