Third of all, learning about current events makes you an engaged American citizen, and also means you can show off your knowledge to parents, friends, teachers, and the like. Finally, practicing parliamentary procedure and learning about decorum will provide insight into the workings of the United Nations, the world's most important agency for keeping peace. Hopefully, after you read this book, you will feel comfortable enough to participate in a conference. I hope this will be an informative and enjoyable read, and that after learning about Model UN, you will love this awesome activity as much as I do

Vivian Armitage is enjoying senior year in Oklahoma. She was first introduced to Model United Nations as a sixth grader, and has been hooked ever since. She is passionate about global affairs and believes that participating in Model United Nations is one of the best ways to learn the culture of a country. The most interesting country she has ever represented is Andorra, a small nation between Spain and France, nestled in the Pyrenees mountains.
