My First Day Fishing is an easy-to-use guide loaded with practical tips, tricks, and step-by-step instructions for kids who want to enter the world of freshwater fishing

This comprehensive handbook provides step-by-step instructions for everything a young angler might need to know on their first freshwater fishing trip.

Fully illustrated throughout, this fun book covers everything from tackle to ties, rods to rigs, knots to hooks, and baits to lures and flies! It also includes a fish-identification guide, together with advice on how to care for your catch.

BBC presenter and fishing expert Will Millard is the perfect guide to accompany kids on their first day fishing as he blends detailed information with plain good advice and some amusing anecdotes along the way--including his first-ever catch made with a rubber boot after he fell in a river.

The book is packed with kid-friendly tips and tricks for catch-and-release freshwater fishing and helps readers--whether in the country or the city--to "think like a fish" as they learn the watercraft of reading a river, pond, or canal; how to find the best spots to fish; and how to cast for the catch of their dreams.

This book is the perfect guide to fishing and is sure to instill a love of angling among readers aged seven and up.

  • Advice on catching everything from a microfish to a huge pike!
