Product Description

by Jennifer Ashley (Author), Ashley Gardner (Author)

This anthology includes: The Bishop's Lady (an milie d'Armand mystery), A Soup on of Poison (a Kat Holloway mystery), and A Matter of Honor (a Regency mystery with a twist). Three historical mysteries span time from the court of Louis XIV to Victorian London. Meet milie d'Armand, a young woman who witnesses corruption and murder in seventeenth-century France (The Bishop's Lady), and Katherine Holloway, an English cook sought after by the wealthy, who finds herself embroiled in murder, assisted only by the mysterious Daniel McAdam (A Soup on of Poison). Finally, explore the darker side of Regency London in an alternate look at that period. Robert Archer, an army soldier whose family faces ruin, searches in desperation for a way to heal his family, assisted by an unlikely ally (A Matter of Honor).

Author Biography

Award-winning Ashley Gardner is a pseudonym for New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Ashley. Under both names-and a third, Allyson James-Ashley has written more than 75 published novels and novellas in mystery and romance. Her books have won several RT BookReviews Reviewers Choice awards (including Best Historical Mystery for The Sudbury School Murders), and Romance Writers of America's RITA (given for the best romance novels and novellas of the year). Ashley's books have been translated into more than a dozen different languages and have earned starred reviews in Booklist. When she isn't writing, she indulges her love for history by researching and building miniature houses and furniture from many periods.
