The order between questions and answers is at issue. Is an answer truly produced by a question or is the question motivated by the answer? And is there a pairing between questions and answers? Over time the author has come to suspect that there may indeed be a great imbalance between the number of questions and the number of answers but that the imbalance lies in a greater ponderance of answers. The book was written for the sheer joy of writing it, to savor memories and thoughts, but also in the hope that it might provide some new grist for serious, thought provoking bible studies. It is not meant to provide answers, the answers are already out there. The hope is that it will generate some new questions. The chapter contents are meant to unlock other dimensions of view, provide a different coign-of-vantage, and help promote a deeper appreciation of the magnificent existence that surrounds and includes us. But the book is not for everyone. Some of the topics raised may offend some, though they are not meant to. It is tendered as useful for a bible study, departing from the usual catechetical approach of setting the questions and then developing the answers to comport with particular beliefs. The material is leavened with personal reminiscences that are intended to entertain, comfort, and soften any academic flavor that may be present.
Author Biography
The author holds a PhD in engineering and is an elected Fellow of his professional society. He worked as an inventor and has taught as an adjunct faculty member at several universities. He has previously authored or coauthored eight books and many archival publications. He is very interested in exploring the several linkages between religion and science.
