Robert Arthur (1909-1969) fue un escritor norteamericano conocido por la serie de libros juveniles «Los tres Investigadores», cuya introducción a cada novela, de la mano de Alfred Hitchcock, recuerdan tantos lectores españoles. También trabajó en la serie Alfred Hitchcock Presenta. Graduado por la Universidad de Míchigan, Robert Arthur publicó numerosos relatos en diferentes revistas entre 1930 y 1940 y fue galardonado dos veces al Premio Edgar al Mejor Drama para Radio, otorgado por la Mistery Writers of America.
