Miss Snickers is a dog with many different kinds of creatures in her family. First there's Max, who is another dog. Then there's a goose named Gus, who honks to say hello. Gabbie is another goose who likes to honk too. And then there's Hattie, who is a scarecrow; she greets others by saying, "Caw, caw!" Miss Snickers is so happy to have so many wonderful family members. Gus and Gabbie wonder whether it's OK to have so many different kinds of creatures in the same family, when not everyone looks alike. And Snickers explains that there are many different kinds of families. After all, all a family needs is for everyone to love and take care of one another. This children's story shows young readers that there are all kinds of families and that any group with love can be a family together.
