Author Biography

Randy has been blessed to participate in pastoral ministry at Perimeter Church in Atlanta GA for over 18 years under the wonderful leadership of Randy Pope. He is currently the Pastor of Shepherding, overseeing five parish based ministries in cities around the church. Randy is a gifted teacher, pastoral counselor and writer. He has completed a booklet called, Edwards For Five based on the resolutions of Jonathan Edwards and an original work entitled, Minority Rules, which brings to light the decline of Christianity in America. He has also co-authored Quoteworthy with Beth Grabenkort, a book that helps people to discover sacredness in the ordinary. He has recently completed two new projects. One is a handbook for church leaders on shepherding titled, Like Sheep With a Shepherd and the other is a book to help those who are struggling in marriage, titled Re-Start. Over the last few years he has also produced CDs in conjunction with musicians including Our God Reigns, Worship Well and The Advent Experience. Randy received his Master's in Divinity from Metro Atlanta Seminary. Ordained in the PCA, he is the Stated Clerk of Metro Atlanta Presbytery. He is a popular speaker with both adults and youth. He has traveled to more then twenty countries. Over the years Randy has taught on topics ranging from worship to forgiveness to current affairs such as the impact other religions have on Christianity. He has a heart for the world and the young so he likes to teach on missions and mentoring the next generation. Randy has come along side numerous churches to help with staff issues, pastoral care issues and member care. He consults regularly with churches in need. He has been joyfully married to Dorothy for thirty- four years. They love to minister together and they love the beach. Together they have three daughters ages 30, 27 and 24; two wonderful son in laws and two beautiful grand children. He currently hosts a podcast called, One 4 the Road, which is available on iTunes and he on faculty with Metro Atlanta Seminary teaching Old Testament, Church History and Theology. He is available, as schedule permits, for speaking, retreats and preaching as well as counseling with churches.
