Every phase of construction of the Mackinac Bridge was photographed. The pictures in this book, selected from 3,000 black-and-white photos, document important stages of the monumental undertaking. Author Biography
Lawrence A. Rubin served as Executive Secretary of the Mackinac Bridge Authority from its creation in 1950 until his retirement in 1983 and was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the bridge. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Rubin makes his home in St. Ignace, Michigan.
