by Albert Ott (Editor), Walter John Trowbridge (Author)

This is a romantic suspense novel about an architect being sent to the Micronesian island of Guam to replace the manager of a branch office who was murdered under mysterious circumstances. He has to escort the poor man's wife to the funeral even though it is rumored that she is the prime suspect in the murder. Besides running the office, he has to look after the welfare of the widow, including arranging for her attorney, and a detective to find the real murderer. He also has to deal with the alleged lover of his murdered predecessor. Meanwhile, he also is attracted to another woman to whom he wants to be with. Finally, the wife of his murdered predecessor is formally charged with the murder, and it all terminates in an explosive conclusion.
