Mermaid Magic is a story about SparkleLeah, a mermaid, who takes Michael, a human, on an adventure around the world. On this adventure, Michael learns of mermaid secrets and meets SparkleLeah's mermaid friends from Hawaii to France to Australia, as well as to many other places. Michael learns that mermaids live not only in the ocean but also in lakes and rivers. He also learns their biggest secret: Mermaids can fly. When their adventure comes to an end, Michael is sad because he wants to stay with SparkleLeah. But he realizes that he belongs on land with his family. While Michael and SparkleLeah remain lifelong friends, they stay true to who they are.
