Product Description

by Esther J. Hildahl (Author)

Life is great for the frogs and one turtle who live at Meadow Pond--except, of course, for the weekends when the mean Red Boat kids come to the nearby lake. Then they must stay hidden or risk being captured and taken away, never to be seen again. But the rest of the week they are free, until Hes-per, the giant snake from the edge of the forest, decides he wants a frog to eat Soon Hes-per becomes a big problem, and the frogs are too scared to leave their pond. What are they to do? What can they do? Web, Meadow Pond's bravest frog, has an idea. Will his idea work? Will Hes-per finally go away so the frogs can be safe once again? Read and find out.

Author Biography

Esther J. Hildahl was born in Olympia, Washington. Although she has lived most of her life in Washington State, she has also lived for shorter periods of time in Oregon, Montana, California, and Frankfurt, Germany. She graduated from Eastern Washington University and taught grades four and five for many years in the Spokane School District. She enjoys writing for children. As a child, she liked frogs and always knew her first book would be a "frog" book. The idea for Meadow Pond came about while spending many summer weekends at local lakes.
