Drawing on this unique resource, the text of Mr. Barnes' book consists of abstracts of approximately 3,000 marriages and deaths of Marylanders--not only from the Annapolis area but from the entire state. A surname index to brides, ministers, and others, including parents and relatives, serves as a guide to an additional 2,000 persons.
