Wm. David Webster is professor of biology and curator of mammals at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. James F. Parnell lives in Wilmington and is coauthor of Birds of the Carolinas. The late Walter C. Biggs Jr., was coauthor, with Parnell, of State Parks of North Carolina.
