Mid-Climb Engagement works even without a pre-loaded route or if you join a climb partway through - the device detects the climb automatically and calculates remaining segment information from your current position. For the richest ClimbPro experience, import your route GPX file via the Magene app before the ride. For spontaneous or unplanned climbs, Mid-Climb Engagement provides automatic detection without requiring a route.
How does the navigation work offline - do I need mobile data while riding?
The C606V2 supports offline navigation - once a map and route are downloaded to the device's 8GB storage, you do not need mobile data or a phone connection during the ride. The online re-routing feature (automatic recalculation when you go off course) does require a data connection via your phone or Wi-Fi; offline, the device can still show your position on the downloaded map and provide directional guidance based on the loaded route, but automatic rerouting to a new path requires connectivity. Before long rides in areas with poor cell coverage, download the relevant map tiles via the Magene app while connected to Wi-Fi.
