Mabel, a tortoise, and Patty, a beautiful lilac-coloured butterfly, were as unusual and unlikely a pair of acquaintances as anyone could expect to encounter. Theirs was a strange chance meeting that no-one could have foretold but proved to be lucky and helpful to a number of other different creatures finding difficulties in their personal lives.
It was not by chance that Mabel and Patty came across these troubled individuals at a time of personal need. What were the common factors that made such a difference to each character's life?
