Product Description

by Lynn Richardson (Author)

Retired widower George Wyse is happily minding his own business, fishing the lakes of Mountain Home, Arkansas, when his world is turned upside down. At the hands of his manipulative daughter, Lorraine, George lands in a retirement home, hours away and without transportation. Baffled, alone, and now alienated from his cherished granddaughter, Claire, George nurses his bruised ego while plotting to make his way back home. From a secluded fishing cabin in the Ozarks, George takes on the task of reconnecting with the two strong-willed females who are his family. The old man's spunky determination and wise-cracking wit shines through amidst the family turmoil. Full of twists and turns and an array of colorful characters, this heart-warming tale speaks to the stepped-up role of parenting - and grandparenting - in today's world.

Author Biography

Lynn Richardson lives in Benton, Arkansas with her husband, Mike, and their three dogs. Lynn's strong sense of family and her love for Arkansas provided an easy springboard for "Lucky Old Coot," her first novel. True to her own southern upbringing, Lynn writes in enthusiastic detail about such things as fried foods, stray dogs, lake fishing, and critters.
