This is the story of Frankie, a boy who lives in a small town in Louisiana called Choctaw. Frankie doesn't have any friends around to play with. He is always bored with nothing to do. In Frankie's back yard is a swamp. Frankie likes to go into the swamp every Saturday morning where he sits under an old cypress tree. Frankie does have one friend. His name is Larry. Larry lives in the city but, he comes every Saturday to meet Frankie under that old cypress tree. Larry shows up after Frankie falls asleep. While Frankie sleeps in the Louisiana swamp, his imaginary friend Larry takes him on adventures in his dreams. The boys usually end up in trouble on their adventures exploring the Choctaw, Louisiana swamp!
