Those few humans that remain number less than half a million and include those who believe the Earth could still recover and provide a place for humans and nature to coexist. Among them is a group of scientists and other professionals whose mission is to save as many as possible of the Hybrid races, genetic creations, once the pets and playthings of the super rich, now abandoned and left to fend for themselves. The leader of this mission of mercy is a woman named Lily.
