In a Brave New World

...we are educators from different walks of life - schools, universities and organisations, we all have one thing in common. We want to create a better learning experience for our learners. We want to support them to be the best version they can be and make a positive impact in our world.

We want to make a change in education - across all systems - so that we are providing the right learning experiences for our learners to prosper and succeed in the world we live in today.

The goal of this book is to share with you our experiences as educators so you too can change the face of learning.

But, why do we feel a change is needed?

Many co-authors in this book have witnessed, first-hand, that learners only receive the information that they need to complete a task or pass an exam. We have referred to this as traditional education methods. Don't confuse this with just-in-time learning (that is discussed later in the book). Rather, this is teaching learners the bare minimum - and nothing more.

We want to step away from these traditional education methods that were built in an industrial revolution for an industrial world. We no longer live in that world. Jobs have changed, careers have changed, our lives have changed. So too should our education change.
