Product Description

by Barbara Beito and John Frazee (Photographer), Barbara Beito (Author)

The Brooklyn Roundhouse in Portland, Oregon was home to 3 steam locomotives (the OR&N 197, SP&S 700 and the SP 4449) before it was demolished in 2012. This picture book provides a last few glimpses of the roundhouse, turntable and the steam engines housed in the active railyard before the building vanished and the steam locomotives were relocated to the new grounds of the Oregon Rail Heritage Center.

Author Biography

Barbara Beito now lives quietly in Washington State.
