Leopoldo Lugones (1874 - 1938) Poeta, ensayista y narrador argentino. En su poesia narrativa aparecen titulos como Poemas solariegos (1927) y el postumo Romances del Rio Seco. Como cuentista escribe Las fuerzas extranas (1906) y Cuentos fatales (1926), que desarrollan la literatura fantastica que se liga con Horacio Quiroga y anuncia a Jorge Luis Borges y Julio Cortazar. Se suicido bebiendo una mezcla de whisky con cianuro."
