The New Zealand Wars took place from 1845 to 1872 between the New Zealand Colonial government and allied Māori on one side and Māori and Māori-allied settlers on the other.
Where Pouākai, a young Te Ātiawa Māori warrior, and Jack O'Malley, a young Irish whaler, find themselves thrown into war once again. But it's not just any war. The future of New Zealand is at stake.
