Their stories identify ongoing effects on marginalised, vulnerable populations through questioning and offering ways of thinking about and resisting legitimation of particular knowledge systems. Te Tiriti o Waitangi is centralised in each kōwae as a pivotal guide for the transformational change required in our teaching and learning spaces to ensure mana ōrite mō te mātauranga Māori (equal status for mātauranga Māori) in Aotearoa New Zealand.
